There is no such thing as a “true” blue tulip.. The ones you got were either dyed or painted blue. The closest bulb you can get that is called a blue tulip, is in fact, a lavender/purple color not blue. Sorry!…
Added Info: Jamie.. you may claim that they are true blue, but according to American Meadows themselves, it is on the “lavender” side of coloration and is listed as “violet – lilac”… It is “not” a true blue tulip. There are no truly blue tulips; yours were probably dyed, but Van Bourgondian and John Scheepers, Inc. each have some that are very close. You can view their catalogs online. Hope this helps…
